Physical and chemical test method: For the internal quality and mechanical properties of forgings, various physical and chemical analysis methods need to be used, such as chemical composition analysis, metallographic microscope test, hardness test, tensile test, impact test, fatigue test, etc.
The quality testing methods of diesel engine forgings mainly include the following:
Visual inspection method: At the production site, the quality of the forging is visually measured, and the surface quality of the forging is observed, such as cracks, cracks, inclusions, heavy skins, pits, etc., and the shape and position dimensions such as Angle edges, distortion, and the error of the die forging.
Measuring tool inspection method: Use general measuring tools such as steel ruler, inner and outer calipers, vernier height ruler, vernier depth ruler and 90° Angle ruler, as well as special measuring tools to check the size and shape dislocation of forging.
Sample test method: For large quantities of forgings and complex forgings with multi-angle bending, samples and local samples can be made in advance to check the shape and position size.
Marking test method: For forgings with complex shapes, when they cannot be inspected by the naked eye or measuring tools, the size and shape dislocation of the forgings can be tested by marking method.
Non-destructive testing method: including ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, X-ray testing and eddy current testing. These methods can be tested without damaging the forgings, among which ultrasonic testing can detect defects, cracks, pores, etc., inside the forgings, magnetic particle testing can detect cracks, inclusions and other defects on the surface of the forgings, X-ray testing can be used to detect cracks, pores and other defects inside the forgings, eddy current testing can detect surface cracks, inclusions and other defects.
Physical and chemical test method: For the internal quality and mechanical properties of forgings, various physical and chemical analysis methods need to be used, such as chemical composition analysis, metallographic microscope test, hardness test, tensile test, impact test, fatigue test, etc.
